Under general supervision, the Roof Asset Technician performs a variety of professional – level duties and is responsible for gathering field data and working with building owners/reps to ensure that all information is gathered to successfully prepare estimates, condition assessment reports, and roofing budgets for new and existing customers.
Roof Asset Technician Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of a Tecta America Roof Asset Technician is to support senior asset managers, service technicians and sales representatives in the development, management and monitoring of commercial roofing projects.
This position represents Tecta America to customer accounts within an assigned geographic territory and coordinates efforts with peers and Regional Managers.
Key functional responsibilities include:
- Survey existing commercial roofing systems and prepare detailed roof condition analyses based on findings
- Assist with estimating new roofing projects, roof replacements and roof repairs
- Develop and maintain roofing budget forecasts for new and existing customers
- Field verify roof plans and existing site conditions
- Measure roofs and roofing assemblies and record data
- Perform core samples of existing roof systems to identify assembly components and conditions for estimating purposes
- Maintain all required files, records and project documentation
- Communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing – with internal team members and external clients
Job Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Technology or related construction program
- Computer Knowledge
- Ability to plan and organize work efficiently
- Report research results effectively
- Attention to Detail
- Self-Motivated
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
