Position SummaryThe Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling services using organizational and customer knowledge to influence and assist customers in applying the services to their needs resulting in revenue generation for Counterpart, Inc.

  • Reaches established sales quotas and revenue goals.
  • Identifies potential customers in industries that require services that Counterpart provides.
  • Initiates meetings with potential and existing customers to discuss their business needs and how these needs would be best met through Counterpart, Inc.
  • Attends trade shows/conferences that relate to our industry, network through organizations and clubs.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest industry trends and technical developments on metal fabrication and applications that affect our key markets.
  • Establishes and maintains positive customer relationships through contact in person, by phone, and electronically such as e-mail.
  • Ensures the closing of deals and confirms contracts.
  • Communicates with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve problems with products and services, answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Quotes prices, credit terms and other bid specifications.
  • Negotiates prices and terms of sales and service agreements.
  • Prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and submit orders for processing.
  • Maintain S&OP (Forecast Sales Pipeline)
  • Manages sales department and sales employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Business or Accounting degree preferred. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Ability:

Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:

Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.




Computer Skills:

General basic skills of navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and company software


Certificates and Licenses:



Valid driver’s license.
Capable of being covered under agency’s insurance if driving a company vehicle.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees in the Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
