Job Description
ARC Fabricators has an immediate need to hire a Saw Operator. The Operator tends to metal fabricating machines such as saw, forming machines, rolls, brakes, presses, and punch, which cut, shape, and bend rolled metal by performing the following duties.

Hours:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adjusts machine to material and finished product requirements.
- Feeds metal into fabrication machine.
- Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Assures product quality by adjusting machine to remove burrs and sharp edges from material.
- Reports machine and product quality issues to supervisors.
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines and dies.
- Completes production records on finished goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Metal fabrication experience, preferably in saw, shear/brake and roll-forming or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mechanical Experience with hand tools (i.e., saws, hacksaws, tin snips) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and understand tape measurers and calculators.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
- The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat (proper PPE & safety training will be provided)
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
