Job Description
Department: Quarry
Reports to: Plant Manager
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for weighing and ticketing trucks at a rock quarry. Provides customer service. Ticket and weigh trucks with attention to detail. This is a challenging, fast paced position. Strong computer skills and good communication skills are a must.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ability to use basic office equipment, including computer, fax machine, photocopier and 10-key calculator.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work extended hours to meet business demands.
• High attention to detail.
• Good work attendance.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ensure all trucks are properly and accurately weighed when leaving the sites.
• Obtain customer name or job location for each load.
• Accurate data entry.
• Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate service to customers.
• Competency in Word and Excel.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
Work Environment & Requirements:
• Work is performed in a well-lit, climate-controlled office setting.
• Occasional exposure to outside elements.
• Requires extended periods of computer use and sitting.
• No significant physical demands beyond standard office activities.
