Description:
Seasonal maintenance worker supports Camp Rapid's operation readiness by performing general upkeep, groundskeeping, and minor repair tasks.
General Requirements:
Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, brush removal as well as general facility upkeep. Including minor repairs, painting and general preventative maintenance on various building systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- safety regulations and basic hazardous material handling (e.g. fuel, paint, solvents);
- basic understanding of groundskeeping, landscaping and general facility upkeep procedures;
- proper use and maintenance or standard hand tools, power tools and light machinery.
Skills:
- safely operate ground maintenance equipment, including zero turn mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles (UTV).
Abilities:
- perform manual labor;
- lift up to 50 pounds;
- work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
