The Seasonal Tax Preparer position is ideal for someone looking for a professional work environment, ELO is seeking tax preparers for the 2022 tax season from mid-December through April.
Typical day in the life:
- Gathering relevant tax-related information from client so an accurate tax return can be prepared.
- Looking at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Willingness to assist other tax preparers, managers, and partners as needed.
- Demonstrating superior client service skills, by assisting client with business needs.
- Reviewing individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns, depending on experience.
What will get you noticed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, or related field.
- 5 + years of experience in tax preparation or an equivalent combination of education and degree.
- Having a CPA, EA, PTIN, a plus.
- Experience in Thomsen Reuters UltaTax and Practice, a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
