Senior Accountant
COMPANY PROFILE:
Our company is a regional leader in the design and production of precast architectural and structural concrete products. They are now looking for a Senior Accountant.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- Lead cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment, translating operational data into actionable financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee inventory valuation and reporting, partnering with operations to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with GAAP and internal controls.
- Prepare and review journal entries, financial analyses, and account reconciliations while driving a disciplined and timely monthly close process with well-documented audit support.
- Develop, interpret, and communicate key performance metrics that inform leadership on profitability, efficiency, and cost management opportunities.
- Exercise professional judgment in estimating and recording accruals for month- and year-end close in accordance with GAAP, ensuring completeness and financial statement reliability.
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional accounting projects, identifying process improvements and strengthening internal controls.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy, streamline workflows, and elevate the overall value and effectiveness of the Accounting function.
Job Requirements
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of progressive experience, including cost accounting in a process production environment.
• CPA/CMA (or pursuit) preferred.
• Strong command of GAAP and ASC 606, with the ability to apply technical guidance using sound professional judgment in complex, real-world scenarios.
• Advanced analytical capabilities with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage highly confidential financial information with integrity.
• Proven process improvement mindset, including experience designing or enhancing accounting systems and workflows; proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Sage 300CRE/Timberline preferred).
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented professional with strong communication skills, customer service focus, and the ability to investigate issues, solve problems, and partner effectively across departments.
