The College of Arts and Sciences is currently hiring Senior Administrative Assistants to support the departments of Computer Science and Media and Journalism. We are looking for people-oriented, detail-focused, and self-motivated professionals to provide high-level administrative support in dynamic academic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR & Payroll Coordination
- Facilitate payroll and timesheet processes
- Support onboarding for new employees
- Enter job and posting details into the applicant tracking system
- Accounting & Financial Management
- Assist with budgeting and report preparation
- Process invoices, travel reimbursements, stipends, and honoraria
- Academic Support
- Monitor and update course section information
- Maintain student records and advising lists
- General Office Operations
- Greet and assist visitors
- Coordinate meetings and events
- Manage telephone inquiries
- Supervise student workers
Required Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems
- Understanding of accounting, budgeting, and payroll procedures
- Familiarity with office and administrative practices
- Knowledge of manual and electronic filing systems
- Experience in a higher education setting is preferred

- Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the public
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
