Senior Instrumentation and Control Technician – Full Time
**Most of the work for this position will be completed near Watford City, North Dakota.
The Instrumentation and Control Technician duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Work effectively with others.

- Ability to provide process improvement input.
Job Summary:
Instrumentation and Control technicians will test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect industrial equipment and monitoring devices. On a typical day, you will perform activities related to the operation and maintenance of various electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, analyzers, measurement, control and automation systems and related equipment in the oil and gas industry. This role may also involve FCOs (Field Check Outs) which requires a skillset in automation/controls. Some of the sites would include CTBs, wellheads, LACTs, and SWDs.
Essential Duties and Requirements:
- Work with and understand Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and remote terminal units and equipment.
- Work with and understand Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems. Some of these include CompactLogix and MicroLogix.
- Work with and understand ROC800 flow calculations and control.
- Work with and understand a variety of graphical interface devices and software's such as Crimson and Vijeo Designer.
- Work with and understand different communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, HART, and Modbus RTU.
- Maintain electrical power and control circuits.
- Assist in wellhead and CTB commissioning.
- Drive and ensure maintenance is completed on company vehicles.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
- Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience in robotics, electronics, engineering, SCADA or similar field.
- 5-7+ years of technician work in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including but not limited to:
- -Manual/power tools-Electronic testing devices-Control devices Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation, electronics, tools and control systems.
- Knowledge or training related to:-Gas processing fundamentals
- -Computers and related software-Governmental rules, regulations and (electrical) codes-Safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems-Reliability Based Programs
- Ability to prepare, process or verify maintenance and repair records, safety and environmental reports, electrical schematics and diagrams, pressure readings and material and supply orders.
- Communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions.
- Must have valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one.
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000
The work for this position will be completed in or near Watford City, North Dakota.
