Job Description

We are growing and adding on to our facility and we are looking to add a senior/lead level millwright to our organization. This individual will serve as a coach and mentor to maintenance technicians and millwrights. Our senior millwright will have excellent skills in industrial fabrication, welding, electrical including both high and low voltage, and understand the importance of preventative and predictive maintenance. 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to move into a leadership role in maintenance!

Working with a team, this individual will help guide daily maintenance activities by actively setting an example and sharing knowledge. The senior millwright will also work closely with production to identify goals and create plans to achieve those goals. This position also works closely with management to set daily goals for maintenance activities as well as being a critical member of the project planning team. 

The core technical responsibilities of this position include:

Fabrication experience including "from scratch" designs - this is an excellent opportunity to flex your creative muscles and see your ideas come to life.

Electrical skills including using multimeter to troubleshoot 24vdc to 480vac circuits

Working knowledge of motor control circuits, VFD, and PLC systems.

Reading and comprehending electrical, pnuematic, and hydraulic schematics. 

Understanding blueprints for machine and building design/modifications.

Ability to identify existing parts and propose alternatives - same quality for less money or better quality for same money.

Basic computer skills including sending emails, using the internet for research, and using various pieces of maintenance related software.

Ability to operate forklift, skidsteer, telehandler or the willingness to learn. 

Knowledge of correct and safe usage of hand and power tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Read and write English - bilingual a plus.

Other duties as assigned. 

Environmental demands:

Manage confined space entry, bend, crouch, climb ladders and steps, lift /move 50 pounds. Must be able to adapt to an outside work environment that will include exposure to cold, heat, wind, rain, snow, and some slippery surfaces. Will be exposed to high levels of noise. 

Elevated work is required. You MUST be comfortable working at heights of 100+ feet with proper fall protection equipment. 

Prior work experience in the production and transportation of grain desired but not necessary.

This position is typically Monday thru Friday, 8AM to 4:30PM with occasional overtime as projects demand.
