Senior Staff Accountant

Dakotaland Manufacturing is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. Salary Range: $75,000–$95,000

What You’ll Do (Essential Functions)
As the Senior Staff Accountant, you will oversee important day-to-day accounting activities and support the integrity of the company’s financial operations.
- Lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger management
- Prepare and review financial statements and operational reports, including KPIs and variance analysis for leadership
- Perform account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, discrepancy resolution, deposits, and customer account monitoring
- Ensure proper expense coding, accruals, and posting, including corporate card and Concur expense management
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies through review and oversight of accounting transactions
- Manage sales and use tax processes, including filings, reconciliations, exemption certificates, and audit support
- Support audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and serving as a key contact for external auditors
- Oversee vendor and tax reporting compliance, including W-9 maintenance and 1099 preparation and filing
- Evaluate customer credit risk, maintain credit profiles, and support collections as needed
- Monitor capital projects and analyze financial trends to support budgeting and business decisions
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory controls, and financial reporting
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
