Senior Tax Professional
If you enjoy tax and related accounting work, but would like to experience an environment different than working at a traditional public accounting firm, Dorsey & Whitney Trust Company LLC is looking for a full-time senior tax professional to join its tax department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and/or review of federal and state fiduciary and individual income tax returns, informational returns, and estimated quarterly tax payments. Other duties include taking lead responsibility over department processes and projects, tax research, responding to tax authority correspondence, and other trust tax projects as assigned. No prior fiduciary or trust tax experience is required, but is a plus.
- Collaboratively communicate and work with other company staff and external service providers.
- Organize and prioritize projects to successfully meet company and tax authority deadlines.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration. Current CPA designation or interest in obtaining CPA designation (including in-progress candidates) required. Desired proficiencies in Windows operating system, Microsoft Office 365 programs, and an ability to learn new software programs relating to trust accounting and trust tax preparation. Desired prior experience is a minimum of three to five years performing tax preparation and review in a public accounting firm or preparing fiduciary income tax returns.
