TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is looking to hire a custodian/utility person for our Sioux Falls location branch.
Job Description:
We are looking for a responsible person to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for this person, to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. Reports directly to the Service Manager. Proven experience as a custodian, janitor or in a similar role; dealership experience preferred, must be able to communicate with technicians.
Specific Duties Include:
- Clean and maintain the service shop area, including floors, restrooms, locker room, techs breakroom and service bays;
- Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out emptying garbage cans, trash and recycling;
- Stock and organize supplies in the service shop area;
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols;
- Inspects, Maintains and Cleans shop equipment based on monthly schedules,
- Communicate any facility or equipment issues to the service manager;
- Will keep our shop bay areas tidy by sweeping, crushing filters, etc.;
- Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures;
- Runs errands as directed by service manager;
- Follow all company policies or procedures;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment;
- Familiarity with handyman practices;
- Very good physical condition and strength to be able to Push/pull up to 80 lbs. and Lift/carry up to 70 lbs;
- Neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, crawling, walking;
- Working conditions may be indoor or outdoor. A majority of your time will be spent in the truck & equipment shop bay area. Noise level may be loud at times.
- Wage $17.00 an hour - $19.00 - This position is Monday - Friday
Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
