Service Technician Position
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Service Technician to join our team at North American Truck & Trailer, Inc. in Lunds, SD. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of heavy-duty trucks and trailers for our valuable customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles
- Troubleshoot and repair engine and transmission issues
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve complex technical problems
- Ensure all repairs and services are performed efficiently and meet quality standards
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours
- Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional certification in heavy truck and trailer repair preferred
- Prior experience as a Service Technician in the automotive or transportation industry
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
