Position Purpose
As a Shift Lead, you’ll step into a leadership role on shift. You’ll ensure the store runs smoothly, support our Pet Care Specialists, and create a warm, expert experience for customers - in-store and through local deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Act as manager-on-duty during assigned shifts.
- Open and close the store, including handling cash and deposits.
- Provide exceptional customer service and product guidance.
- Train, support, and coach Pet Care Specialists.
- Ensure store standards for cleanliness, stocking, and merchandising.
- Safely complete or oversee local deliveries using company vehicles.
- Handle customer concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Communicate shift updates and issues to management.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles for deliveries.
- Retail or customer service experience required.
- Leadership or key holder experience preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable and organized with attention to detail.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet during shifts.
