Stan Houston Equipment Company has a new opportunity for you!
We are seeking a Full-Time Small Tool Mechanic/Technician to join our team at our Sioux Falls location.
Work hours are Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Diagnostic repair and maintenance of a wide variety of light construction equipment and power tools including, but not limited to corded and cordless power tools, chain saws, concrete saws, blowers, trimmers, generators, power trowels, packers, water pumps, air compressors, etc.
- Maintain work order documents

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- Vocational or technical education in mechanics, machine tool technology or related field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in small tool repair and maintenance preferred (not required)
- Mechanical ability and knowledge

Physical Capabilities Required:
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs at a time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Moderate amounts of grasping, fingering, and repetitive motion
- Operate hand and power tools and other specialized equipment
- Adequate vision to read small print and work with intricate parts and equipment
- Sufficient hearing for sounds and signals from equipment to detect and diagnose problems
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in uncomfortable positions

Sioux Falls store hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm; Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm.
