HOURS: 40 hours week. Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional evening/weekend hours.

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Licensing and Intake Social Worker has the awesome opportunity to work with foster families and youth in the LSS Treatment Foster Care Program. The Social Worker supports and develops families as they move through the training, home study, and youth placement processes. In this position, you will also work with community partners to identify and connect families with youth who are in need of a foster care placement. The Licensing and Intake Social Worker works closely with a statewide Treatment Foster Care Team to ensure youth and families are getting the support they need to be successful.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in social work preferred or a related field, plus one to two years related experience, is required.
- Licensed Social Worker or Social Work Associate (or the ability to be licensed) through the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners, is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, is required.
- Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status, is required.
