Position Overview
As an Equipment Handler at Egger Steel Company, you will play a critical role in our daily operations. Your primary responsibility will be to handle various steel material, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and movement within our facility. You will collaborate closely with our production team to ensure the seamless flow of materials throughout our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient handling of steel equipment, such as coils, plates, and beams.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment to load, unload, and move steel materials as required.
- Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and damage to the equipment or facility.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to maximize productivity and safety.
- Adhere to quality standards and specifications to avoid material defects and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in other areas of the operation as required, providing support to colleagues and continuously striving for process improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with steel equipment and understanding of safety procedures related to their handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately.
