Job Description
Sunkota Construction in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a skilled Steel Erector/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel structures and be able to safely and efficiently erect and install steel beams, columns, and other components.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed on site
- Operate equipment such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts to position steel components
- Bolt or weld steel components in place
- Inspect and repair steel structures as needed
- Collaborate with other construction workers to complete projects on time
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Steel Erector or similar role
- Welding certification required
- Ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of welding, rigging, and other steel erection techniques
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA certification is a plus
