Position Overview

Soukup Construction is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure the successful execution of heavy civil earthwork and site development projects. This role requires strong field leadership, a commitment to safety, effective coordination across teams, and the ability to make sound decisions in dynamic field conditions.

The Field Superintendent plays a critical role in delivering high-quality work, supporting field staff, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project partners.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Provide strong jobsite leadership by guiding Foremen and field crews, addressing issues proactively, and maintaining consistent progress toward project goals.
Promote and enforce safety expectations through visible leadership and accountability in the field.
Coordinate effectively with project management, estimating, and support teams to maintain alignment, communication, and successful project execution.
Support the development of field personnel through coaching, feedback, and clear performance expectations.
Address field and client challenges professionally, applying sound judgment and maintaining positive working relationships.
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights and supporting operational best practices.

Qualifications

Required:

Proven experience as a Field Superintendent or similar field leadership role in heavy civil, earthwork, or related construction environments
Strong safety leadership and jobsite management skills
Effective communication and coordination skills with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
Ability to lead, coach, and develop field personnel
Sound judgment and decision-making skills in dynamic field situations
