Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing professional to lead our team and help maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and service. As the Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will oversee daily sterile processing operations while coaching and developing a team of Sterile Processing Technicians and Sterile Processing Surgical Technologists. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll collaborate closely with surgical services, physicians, and hospital leadership to support exceptional patient outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily sterile processing operations, including decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
- Oversee sterilization processes, biological testing, documentation, and compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Coordinate instrumentation needs for surgical procedures and support operating room efficiency.
- Manage instrument inventory, repairs, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Sterile Processing Technicians and Sterile Processing Surgical Technologists. - Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate team members while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
- Assist with department planning, budgeting, process improvement initiatives, and policy implementation.
- Serve as a resource and leader during daily operations, helping resolve issues and support team success.
MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY! NO ON-CALL. NO HOLIDAYS.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.
- CRCST certification required or ability to obtain within two years of hire.
- BLS certification required (may be obtained upon hire).
- Three or more years of Sterile Processing experience preferred.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization processes, aseptic technique, infection prevention practices, and instrument management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
