Position: Surgical Advanced Practice Professional (PA or CNP)
Specialty: Orthopedic Spine Surgery
Location: Orthopedic Institute - Sioux Falls, SD
Schedule: Full-time; includes OR, clinic, outreach locations, on-call time, and walk-in clinic coverage
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Surgical APP to join our orthopedic spine team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our orthopedic spine surgeon (Dr. Matthew Wingate MD), providing high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the operating room during spine surgeries
Conduct pre- and post-operative patient assessments
Manage patients in the clinic and at outreach locations
Participate in call rotation and provide coverage for the walk-in clinic
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-operative care
Qualifications
Current and unrestricted PA or CNP license in the State of SD (or eligibility)
Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (CNP)
Experience in orthopedics, spine, or surgical settings preferred
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care
