What responsibilities you could expect in the Teaching Assistant role, but not limited to:
- Provide compassionate care and support to children and young adults with disabilities in classroom, residential, and community settings
- Assist with daily living and personal hygiene needs, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, meal assistance, positioning, and transfers while promoting dignity and independence
- Support educational, recreational, vocational, and life-skill development activities tailored to each individual’s goals and abilities
- Assist teachers and team members in creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage community involvement and social participation through outings, activities, and transportation support
- Follow individualized care and support plans while responding appropriately to safety concerns and emergencies
- Maintain accurate documentation, communicate important updates, and participate in required trainings and team meetings
