The TeamMates Program Coordinator works collaboratively with the TeamMates National Office, the local TeamMates Board, and District leadership to implement and oversee the TeamMates mentoring program. This individual is responsible for upholding the program's mission and core values, ensuring high-quality mentoring relationships, and maintaining alignment with District and National Office policies.
REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION LEVEL:Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Previous experience in program coordination, volunteer management, or non-profit development.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position requires constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, hearing, intermittent grasping, keyboarding, scheduling, sitting, speaking, writing, standing, stooping, and reaching are required. This position requires the incumbent to drive between sites.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including students, professional staff, and community donors. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in database management (CiviCore preferred). Experience in public speaking, marketing, or community outreach. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of collaboration with district and national leadership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES Program Advocacy and Representation- Act as the primary liaison for the TeamMates Mentoring Program within the school and the broader Sioux Falls community.
- Inform and engage school staff, Local Chapter Board, School Board, and community stakeholders regarding the impact and mission of TeamMates.
- Actively market the program at community venues to increase visibility and recruitment.
Compliance and Operational Alignment- Ensure the local chapter adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in the TeamMates Policy Manual.
- Maintain accurate and updated records within the CiviCore database, including mentee/mentor data and bi-annual performance metrics (grades, attendance, and match visits).
- Attend the annual TeamMates Conference for mandatory updates and professional development.
Strategic Collaboration and Communication- Provide regular reports and updates to the Regional Coordinator, National Office, and local Chapter Board.
- Collaborate with the Local Chapter Board to establish annual strategic goals and manage the program budget.
- Support Board development, recruitment, and effective committee engagement.
- Coordinate with schools to facilitate training, match support, and the initial introduction of mentors and mentees.
Fundraising and Donor Stewardship- Assist the Local Chapter Board in identifying, planning, and executing annual fundraising events and special initiatives to ensure program sustainability.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local donors and corporate partners.
- Assist in gathering data and narratives for grant applications and provide timely acknowledgments to all program contributors.
Match Support and Quality Control- Oversee the mentor/mentee matching process based on shared interests and life experiences.
- Facilitate comprehensive training for mentors and mentees using approved TeamMates materials.
- Oversee the match closure process and facilitate annual surveys to measure program efficacy.
PAY INFORMATION$60,000-$70,000, depending on experience.
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
FTE1.0 FTE, 10 months
CALENDAR
10 Month Position, August-May with some work day obligations in the summer.
