Area Federal Credit Union is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Teller to join our team at our Aberdeen, South Dakota branch.

About the Position
As Teller, you’ll play an important role in delivering exceptional service to our members. You’ll handle daily teller transactions and answer questions in person and over the phone. You’ll also educate members about our products and services to help them make informed financial decisions.
We’re looking for someone who communicates effectively, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
As a Teller, you’ll help create a positive experience for every member by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient service. Your responsibilities will include:
Greet and welcome members in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
Process deposits, withdrawals, check transactions, and other routine financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
Verify cash amounts, check endorsements, signatures, and member account balances.
Answer member questions in person and over the phone, providing helpful and professional assistance.
Educate members about credit union products and services to help them make informed financial decisions.
Balance your cash drawer at the end of each shift, compare totals with computer-generated reports, and research and resolve discrepancies.
Protect member privacy and confidentiality while following established policies, procedures, and security practices.

Previous cash-handling, retail, banking, or customer service experience can be helpful. A positive attitude, dependability, and a desire to help others are important to success in this role.

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
