EXPERIENCE DESIRED:Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation operations, school systems, or logistics required. Experience with routing software and GPS tracking systems is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, hearing; intermittent keyboarding, use of wrists, hands, fingers, speaking, typing and writing. Frequent filing, sitting, standing and walking.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and transportation management software (Transfinder)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES - Operate and manage district transportation settings and procedures using Routefinder and boundary software systems.
- Maintain current attendance boundary maps and update them as needed.
- Maintain and manage historical data, annexed property records, and pilot boundary information.
- Provides accurate boundary information and support to internal staff and the general public.
- Independently update and manage boundary-related data within the Routefinder software.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency within Routefinder to support transportation planning, reporting, and decision-making processes.
- Maintains bus route information and reports student ridership/bus counts.
- Serve as the primary contact for student bus and express transportation changes and requests.
- Create and manage district-wide transportation timelines; provide updates to schools and vendors.
- Provide transportation-related training and support to district staff.
- Coordinate transportation communications and reports for schools and families.
- Work with the District IT team to manage transportation data imports and system updates.
- Audits bus vendor billing and documentation (requires use of Microsoft Access).
- Coordinate transportation reimbursements for eligible families.
- Support student preparation and access to transportation services through the budget process.
- Assist with maintaining transportation policy and procedure documentation.
- Coordinate with schools to manage student bus badges, GPS software, and apps (e.g., Stopfinder).
- Schedule and support field trip transportation requests.
- Ensure student transportation data is accurately reflected in Infinite Campus.
- Maintain and distribute district brochures, maps, and information for the district website.
- Create and distribute internal transportation memos (start/dismissal times, feeder school info, winter weather plans).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
PAY INFORMATIONSpecialist - Level MX, starting at $28.89 per hour
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTEMonday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break
1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 12 months
