Job: Undercoat Painter
Classification: Non-exempt
Schedule: 10-hour shift, Monday-Thursday. Overtime as assigned.
Job Summary: An Undercoat Painter will wet paint the underbody of a steel utility body and decking.
Responsibilities: you will be responsible for preparing metal for the paint application by taping off the body, running the hoist and applying the undercoat.
Skills: Knowledge of painting procedures and operations. Report problems with quality to the supervisor. A good eye for quality issues. Able to change nozzles within the wash system, dump and refill stages as needed. Cleaning knowledge to keep the area clean and tidy. Performs all other duties as required.
Physical requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be self-motivated. Must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail and quality. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
