JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Qualified candidates will possess expert level knowledge of ECGs policies and procedures and be self-driven. As the UW Risk Supervisor you will be responsible for mentoring, leading, and motivating the Senior Underwriting team as well as acting as the liaison between other Senior Underwriting team members and organizational management.
Essential Functions
Perform all essential functions of the Senior Underwriting role.
Coordinate with the HR department to interview and hire applicants for open positions
Perform on-site training as needed during onboarding of new hires or as processes change. Develop and maintain training documents as they relate to Senior Specialist & Senior Underwriter role. Identify training opportunities and provide feedback to team members
Conduct Annual Performance evaluations
Conduct regular team meetings, calibration exercises and one on one meetings
Seek team members’ feedback and provide suggestions to UW Leadership team
Monitor and report technical issues through Help Desk and escalate to Manager when necessary
Audit Sr UW process outcomes for consistency and adherence to ECGs policy and procedures.
Team up with department team leaders/supervisors to communicate staffing, volume or processing updates when necessary
Work directly with the sales team, business development team, tech team, and other parties internally and externally to resolution challenges.
Identify, and escalate issues or exception requests to management for approval
Monitor volume and direct staff to provide support to other UW teams as needed. Recommend adjustments to breaks and schedules when necessary.
Review and approve timecards, schedules, and PTO requests
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
The UW Risk Supervisor will have direct supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
The ability to multitask with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Previous experience managing a team, required.
Professional demeanor and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong, effective, oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and/or with a team.
Must have strong analytical, mathematical and judgmental skills to complete assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Must be technically savvy with strong, but basic Office and Internet skills.
