JOB SUMMARY

Perform skilled service and inspection and maintenance duties, including greasing, lubricating, fueling, tire repair, and daily servicing of City vehicles, Park equipment, automotive equipment, trucks, and/or heavy construction equipment. Perform semiskilled mechanical duties, including the general repair, maintenance, and safety inspection of gasoline, diesel, automotive, and heavy equipment used by City departments.

Hours will be 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday

Snow events 10am to 10pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or GED certification and one (1) year of vocational automotive/diesel trade school with six (6) months’ experience repairing and servicing vehicles, automotive, and/or heavy construction equipment; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire a valid Class B commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement.
