Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Warehouse Associate’s at Stan Houston are involved in all aspects of daily operations. From standard warehouse duties of unloading and loading freight, to picking customer orders, staging rental equipment and helping load customers.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions include:

• Receive incoming shipments & inter-store transfers. Prepare outgoing shipments and orders. Inspecting and verifying their contents to purchase orders or invoices.
• Load materials or equipment onto company and customer vehicles or prepare them for rental use and/or shipping.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records using the computerized inventory software system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by following company policies and procedures. Maintain grounds during winter snow events, this includes snow removal and de-icing procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education and Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment is preferred.
• Previous experience with construction tools and equipment preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

• Ability to work in variety of climates.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work directly with customers, and fellow team members. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for accessing computer software systems to obtain product information.
• Flexibility to work rotating Saturday schedule (as applicable to the store location).
