Job Description
The primary responsibilities of this position are stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory, loading and unloading of finished goods and raw materials, and delivering raw materials to work centers, hookup tractor/trailer and deliver loads to local distribution centers. In addition, the warehouse material handler supports the collection and shipment of recycled and waste materials. This includes the shredding and baling of scrapped or waste products, etc. Safety in operation of mechanical equipment and performance of job duties is paramount.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Raw materials and finished goods inventory management to include:
- Stage and ship finished goods.
- Receive raw materials.
- Put away and bin locate finished goods and raw materials.
- Process accurate paperwork for storage, receiving and shipping.
- Prepare outbound loads for shipment (stretch wrap and band).
- Participation in cycle counts and annual physical inventory
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse areas.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks as defined/obvious
- Perform cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory counts and location
- Identify opportunities for improvement in warehouse organization
- Operation of company-owned trucks and equipment to include:
- Transport of raw materials, finished goods, work in process and equipment between
- Delivery of raw materials to local accounts.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Timely notification of needed repairs to Warehouse Lead
- Support of recycling equipment, processes and materials:
- Working with 3rd party recycling vendor
- General maintenance and cleaning in recycling areas
- Preparation of materials for shipment to external recycling vendors
- Support of Manufacturing Operations to include:
- Supplying machines with raw materials.
- Staging of raw materials
- Adhere to all safety rules and policies –
- Identify and report safety concerns
- Hold self & co-workers accountable for safe working habits
- Timely reporting of accidents or injuries

Reporting to work as scheduled, adhering to company attendance policies and

- Mechanical aptitude preferred

- Must have a Class A CDL license
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Warehouse dock experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis; lift up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Operate forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack, standup lift, and scissors lift up to 100% of work shift
- Drive straight line and/or company tractor trailer as needed
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Climb on/off forklifts, clamp trucks, and vehicles to support job tasks
- Stoop, bend, scoop, climb and twist as necessary to support work duties
- Work up to 12-hr. work shift
- Must have good visual acuity
- Must have valid driver’s license and personal transportation for between facility and/or warehouse movement as required.
