What You'll Do
- Safely operate a semi-trailer or pickup/gooseneck combination
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure equipment is road-ready
- Load, transport, and unload weaned pigs according to industry standards
- Maintain proper ventilation, bedding, and animal comfort during transport
- Follow all DOT regulations, logging requirements, and biosecurity protocols
- Wash and sanitize vehicles after each use to help prevent disease transfer
- Work closely with producers and team members to ensure successful deliveries
Qualifications
- Class A CDL required
- Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR review
- TQA Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Livestock transportation experience preferred, but not required
- Strong commitment to safety, animal welfare, and customer service
Compensation & Benefits
- $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience)
