Job Description
We are looking for skilled Welders. AGI Hi Roller operates a state of the art, air-conditioned, clean manufacturing facility including a weld fume extraction system. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts. Most parts are laser cut and precision bent, improving fit-up. Our welders must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment while following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Punctuality and attendance are important. Night shift pay differential offered.
Responsibilities
- Read drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures; determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements; align components using tape measures, self-fixturing parts, etc. and clamp pieces; weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead); maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Skills
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG); experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, tape-measure, grinders etc.); ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings; knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.); attention to detail.
